What is Dr. Freud Fantasy Football?

NFL players are amazing physical specimens. Every single one of them is an elite professional athlete far beyond anything most of us could imagine our bodies being capable of. The last pick in the draft, the 53rd guy on any roster, the signed off the street free agent, they are all physically gifted. So, what makes some players the fantasy-football darlings that score 20 points a week for our teams, and other equally physically gifted the last man on a roster or practice squad?

Fantasy football players are a quirky, diverse bunch. But, thanks to the internet, each and every one of us are privy to the exact same information. So what separates the guys who are always in the hunt to win the championship from the perennial bottom tier players who always have to do something embarrassing at the next years draft because they finished 12th again?

By now, you know the answer. Whether it’s real football or our little hobby, winning football is played between the ears. This website will provide insight into NFL players motivation and our strengths and weaknesses.

How can I provide that kind of information without knowing the players personally? I’m Phil Taylor, a former athlete, and I have a Master’s degree in psychology and was a clinical therapist for twenty years. Follow my regular player profiles and my “psychology of the game” articles to help you see the breakout players before anyone else in your league.
